4 months old

I can hardly believe it has been 4 months since I have had these two beauties! The girls went to their Dr. visit yesterday and got their shots. Andrea measured in at 12lbs 11oz. and 23 inches long and Zoey is 11lbs. 6oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. The Dr. said they are looking great and to just keep doing what we are doing.

Zoey had found her tongue a couple of weeks ago and has since just been sucking on her fist and clicking her tongue. Andrea just figured out how to do the same thing a few days ago. Zoey also loves to talk to her fishy friend in her swing. She is such a little sweetie. Andrea and Zoey both seem to have a friend to talk to almost every time I have them in the rocking chair. They have plenty of spirit friends to talk to so that would not surprise me in the least. It is so fun to see them talk and coo and smile. When Andrea smiles she smiles with her eyes as well and it is one of the most darling things you will ever see. It always makes my heart melt. Zoey gives us big smiles as well that are just as cute. These girls are happy growing girls and I love them so much.

I still have a hard time believing that God trusted me so much that he gave me two of his precious daughters to raise. I really feel humbled by that. I know the future will bring many trials and struggles as we try to raise these two cuties, but I guess God knew I could handle it so I better just buckle down and do my best. I can't wait until they are old enough to start going to Young Womens and girls camp because that is where I really grew as an individual and I hope they will have similar opportunities to do the same.

Another thing the girls are getting better at is bath time. Andrea used to hate bath time and would scream as soon as we put her in the water. We quickly discovered that if we left the water running, it was enough white noise to calm her down. Zoey didn't seem to have as much as a problem with bath time as Andi did. Now they both seem to like it just fine. I get the water warm enough and I put them in their tub and they just lay there and relax as I wash them. Sometimes it is getting out of the warm water that makes them angry, and understandably so.

These two smarties are also getting pretty close to rolling over. I think it is only a matter of time before they figure it out. They seem to really like tummy time and their necks are getting so strong. Though these girls were preemies, I think they are doing really well to catch up to other babies. They may not be exactly there with the rest of the babies their age, but they are not too far behind.

As I said, we love our girls and they are so unique in their personalities. I am excited to see what the future will bring.

My little sleeping beauties. Zoey is on the left and Andrea is on the right in the lady bug shirt.
I think their fevers from their shots yesterday have really left them tuckered out. Rest up ladies, that means mommy can go make some cookies! :P

Blessing Day and More

Andi loves to stick out her tongue
Here is Andrea on top of Zoey. Daddy loves to do this with the girls on occasion.
 such cute girls
Dan and Cami came down with the rest of my family for the girls' blessing and so the girls got to meet their cousin James for the first time and here they all are together.
I'm not sure they really knew what to think, but James had fun observing the girls over the weekend.

So the girls were blessed over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and most of my family was able to come so it was so wonderful to see everyone and have that support there that weekend. It was a lot of fun for us. Here are a few pics from that day.

 Zoey on her blessing day.
Our cute family on the girls' blessing day.
Their dresses and headbands were made by Tracie's cousin. She was so wonderful to do that for us. They were so perfect.

 We love our little girls.
Here they are in their new red dresses from Tracie's friend Sonya.
Andrea has the white bow on and Zoey has the red bow on.
Zoey says: "What are you talkin about?"
Here is Andrea all slouched on the couch.
We actually got a pic of Zoey's smile. They both like to smile a lot, but it is hard to capture it on camera.
 What a cutie.
This is always my favorite. I love when the girls fall asleep all cuddled together. Best friends for life right there.
