December

Well here is an update on our family. Last Friday night McKay and I went on a date to the movies and left the girls at his parent's house to watch. Zoey had a cough since Wednesday or Thursday and so we have just been watching her. She had been fine all Friday but after McKay and I got back from our movie we went back to pick up the girls and his parents informed us that Zoey was struggling to breath and was turning white so they suggested bringing her to the Emergency room. They also told us that Andrea had now developed a cough as well.
So we took the girls to the ER and they got checked out. They took chest X-rays and such and said there was no fluid in their lungs so that was good news. They said it didn't look like rsv so that was also good news. They just told us it was an upper respiratory infection and to get a follow up appointment with our pediatrician the next day. So Saturday morning we called the Dr. and made an appointment and got the girls in. The Dr. gave us Albuterol and a nebulizer so that we could give the girls breathing treatments if need be. We did end up using it twice on Zoey that day. She was incredibly lifeless on Saturday and had us pretty scared most of the day. Her color was pretty bad most of the day. We were able to get a humidifier that same day and after we got that running it seemed to really help and Zoey improved a lot after having that on and having a 2nd breathing treatment. Andrea never got as bad as Zoey but we continue to watch the both of them every day. They got their shots this week and so they were running a fever on Monday night after their appointment. I went and got some Tylenol for them and that helped break their fevers. They both still have a cough and they have been struggling to keep their milk down but overall they are doing much much better. Thank you to everyone who has offered a prayer on our girls behalf. We really appreciate and feel of your love and support.

Here are some pics from this month. Enjoy!

I put them in the corner of the couch and this is what happened only after a few minutes. haha

For my birthday I went and got my license renewed! Whoo! Hoo! 21!
And of course, my favorite birthday cake. Cherry Cheesecake
Here is my birthday gift from mom and dad. I also put in McKay's gifts that he got for me. He gave me the foot spa items. :)
McKay's Grandma Connie gave McKay's mom some money to get us a wreath and McKay's mom helped us pick everything out at Porters and she and I decorated it. Mostly Tracie decorated it. We love it!
Andrea slid a little too close to the couch. haha
My two girls. I love them so much. I love cuddling with the two of them during the day.

Halloween and more

Well I'm not great at keeping track of pics from week to week like some people are but here are some pics we took from Halloween and then some family pics we took. We even had the opportunity to go and visit my grandparents in Idaho Falls while my mom was here and we took a 4 generation photo. Pretty neat. Enjoy!

Twins for life. Don't worry, we don't always dress them alike. In fact, most days I don't, but it's fun to do once in awhile. Andi is on the left and Zoey is on the right.
Here is a bunny coat and an owl coat from Grandma and Grandpa Cloward. Andi is again on the left and Zoey on the right.
It was hard to get Andi's hood to stay down enough to see. Sorry about that.
We actually took these the day after Halloween. I got the idea of a blanket backdrop from my sister-in-law Cami, so thanks! Awesome idea! And again Andi is on the left and Zoey on the right. I'm not sure why that is... I don't intend to always have Andi on the left, but it works out that way. haha
oh and McKay proudly carved this pumpkin. He wanted to make sure he had a mustache. :P

Here is Great Grandpa Isle with the girls. Andi is in the grey and Zoey in the pink

Grandpa Cloward came over to watch the girls so Mac and I could go to sacrament meeting.
Family photo time! Close up on the girls. Andi is on the right this time and Zoey is on the left.

My mom came as soon as the girls got out of the hospital and stayed to help us for 2 weeks and it was such a blessing to have her with us. Thanks mom. Here is a picture of her before she left to go home. Andi is on the right and Zoey is on the left.
I had my phone on the couch and I put Andi down for a minute and she turned over to my phone as if to get ready to call daddy and tell him to come home. :P What a cutie. Wanting to use technology already.
Sister love in their swing. I thought it was cute because it looks like Andi (left) is trying to kiss Zoey (right) with her binky. You gotta love her "thug" like hat too. :P

Home Sweet Home

Well, it has been a little while and things have changed so much for our new little family. Last time I posted I was almost 32 weeks and then low and behold 2 weeks later I had my sweet girls! It was a crazy ride. It all happened so fast. I went in to see the Dr. for a regular appointment, and to keep things short they found that my blood pressure was extremely high and I had protein in my urine. I had preclampsia (sp?) and the nurse said we had to do an emergency c-section. I went straight from the clinic to the hospital and they got me right in and did a spinal and off to surgery I went.
One cool thing that happened was that Zoey (baby b) was still in her sac when they took her out so the Dr. was excited and wanted everyone in the room to see it. haha Someone got a pic of it but we haven't received that one yet.
Sorry if this is all repetitive for you. I just thought I'd put my story on here for those that didn't hear the whole thing.

As you all know we named the girls Andrea and Zoey. They stayed in the NICU for 3 weeks and they just came home yesterday (Friday Oct. 25th). We are so happy to finally have them home. It is tough to do anything besides feed/change them but we are enjoying the new life we have. Thank you to all of our family and friends for your help, love and support that you have given us. We truly appreciate it and we feel truly blessed because of you. Thank you.

I'll post some progressive pics of our girls from when they were in the NICU till now. Enjoy
