Mckay and I have now been married
for 4 months as of today and we are still very much in love. We have been
blessed beyond measure by our friends and family. We thank you all for your
love and support. We were both on track this semester at BYU-Idaho. We took a
couple of classes together and enjoyed another great semester. It was tough on
us as we tried to adjust to married life as well as school and work but we made
it through. McKay got a job on campus in
the Faculty Technology Center helping teachers with I Learn, which is the
system we use on campus for homework and grades and such, and I kept my job
with the ticket office as an usher. We are so blessed to both have jobs on
campus where it is convenient.
McKay is studying Economics and
would like to go to Law School. He should be able to graduate within the next
year or so. As for me, I am still trying to figure out just what it is I would
like to study. I am almost convinced that I will change my major from
Recreation Management to Psychology. I really enjoy studying the different
aspects of psychology. In our English class we had to write a research paper
and I did mine on Anxiety and found that I really enjoyed what I researched and
I think that has helped me to realize just how much I enjoy psychology. I
should be able to get my associates by the time McKay graduates. That will be a
life saver once McKay starts applying for law school so I can transfer anywhere
without losing credits.
We love our apartment and are so grateful we
have a nice place to live. We have been fortunate enough to have the funds to
travel a little bit and we are loving life. The hardest thing for us this
semester was not having internet at our apartment, so we spent many nights on
campus doing homework before going home. We are looking in to getting internet
for this next semester.
We are adjusting to married life
and we love having family so close to us for support. Mckay teaches Spanish
once a week at his Mom’s class at Lincoln Elementary and absolutely loves it. We
have definitely seen the hand of the Lord in our lives. We are so incredibly
blessed and we are so grateful for all our many blessings we have received. We
both have callings in our new ward and enjoy serving the best we can. McKay
teaches in the Elder’s quorum and I get to hand out visiting teaching slips to
the sisters.
We are doing really well and we
wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May God bless you all and may we all see
the blessings we have been given and give to those less fortunate. Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year.
